Centre-back Niall Cronin is often referred to as 'The Rock' in Grazzmatazz's defense. His determination and courage on the field are well regarded and his commiment and ability are never doubted.
Off the field Cronin never shies away from saying what he feels and has no guilt over being straight to the point and irreverently honest. However, he was in good form when speaking about his side's recent win, a sixth competitive game without defeat and a second in a row in almost unplayable conditions, claiming Grazz were edging towards invincibility.
"That's two games on the trot we've had to grind out a result in atrocious conditions. This team has now added grit and steel to the silky skills that have always been plain to see. Grazzamatazz are now surely chasing greatness.."
He did, however, return to his more ruthless side in the build up to the weekend's cup game against Sheilton Athletic. Croning did not feature in the previous game against the side, which Grazz lost, and is very keen to amend that this Saturday.
"I missed the game we lost against these lads last time so I'm just hoping to beat the chumps. Grazz for the cup(s)..."
Some might say that Cronin should be concerned that his comments might come back to haunt him. Cronin would say he does not care if they do.
