Grazz Victorious In Stange Circumstances

Grazzmatazz F.C. ran out 3 -1 victors against Tallaght based outfit, Allenton. last Saturday and the side will be delighted to continue their recent run of good results. However, the game was not without its quirks and was little short of an odd affair.

The Grazz players must have been a little annoyed when, for the second consecutative game, the referee failed to turn up on time. This resulted in the first 20 minutes being played in a 'friendly' manner. When the referee did decide to show his face the game was poised at 1-1.

The man in charge, however, felt it was best the start the tie all over again amongst mounting frustrations. In diificult weather conditions, Grazz charged to a 3-1 lead with goals from player-coach Ross Edgeworth. Fionnan Gannon and a second on the trot for centre-back Paul Sadlier.

The game was not finished at this stage, though, and with 20 minutes remaining on the clock Allenton manager bizarrely but somewhat understandably took his players of the pitch as he felt, given the 20 minutes wasted waiting for the ref, that the game was finished.

Grazz will surely take the win and be more than happy that their winning streak is expanding but doubts must be cast over the orgainsational skills of the men on top for such a farce to occur.

Grazzmatazz F.C. 3 - 1 Allenton
